Tuesday's Top Three

It's Tuesday!  Time for another Top Three!  Today I need your help!  When we moved into our house, I didn't do much in the kids' upstairs bathroom.  It's a Jack and Jill bathroom that Nixon and Ebby Lee share.  I want it to be super neutral...which is proving to be a little tricky.  Because with the neutral, I want it to look like a kids bathroom.  Does that make sense??  I'm looking for the perfect inspiration picture.  I'm not sure if I'll start before or after the holidays (you know when my free help is finished with football?  haha).  I've searched and searched on Pinterest and Houzz.

Let me know which bathroom is your favorite...

 Option 1:

I love love love this!  I think by adding the polka dot towels it makes the room look more kid-friendly.

Option 2:

I know this is a mudroom, but I love this look.  I'm a big fan of stripes and the beadboard?  The perfect combo.  I think I could add a girly color and a masculine color with the black and white to add a little more "fun" to the room.

I really like the navy stripe!!  We could add turquoise and orange to the navy and some beadboard to the bottom of the wall.

Option 3:

Or...we could add more color.  A turquoise with some other pops of color would be super cute as well!

Okay, ladies!!  I need your help!  What is your favorite look for a 4-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl bathroom??  Can't wait to see what you choose!!  Thank you!

Love one!!! I did something more like pic three with my two but I'm ready to redo it! It was cute for awhile but ready for a change!

I like them all, but I think the first two are your best options. I think the top bathroom could transition really well into teen years. The middle bathroom I like because it is a nautical theme. I think if you had beach photos of your kiddos it would make the perfect "art" for your walls.

My design aesthetic normally would lean toward stripes or beadboard, but for kiddos, I totally vote for color. My son and daughter share a bathroom, and we are going with bright colors. Apple green, pinky coral, and turquoise are our main colors. I have found everything at Target and TJ Maxx for prices so affordable that I can easily update the décor as they grow up without breaking the bank. I also framed some big prints of the kids at the lake and the pool to hang on the wall. Bright, easy, colorful, kid-friendly, and fun! It was my first room I had decorated in our new house. Let me know if you would like me to email you pictures/links of what we did. Good luck! :)

Hi Erika! I would go with the stripes and breadboard.

We love the first one! Perfect for both a little boy and a girl and it will be easy to transition as they get older (swap out the towels, shower curtain etc.) !

I like option 1 the best & it seems to suit your style too. I think it could lend it self to boy or girl & you would be able to change things out more easily than with some of the options! Good luck & happy decorating-Suzanne

I love 2 and 3. If you did 2 I think Kelly green towels as a pop color would be amazing!!

The first one definitely

I absolutely adore the polka dots. You can mix and match so many colors! Definitely keep it neutral so you can change it up for different holidays and seasons easily to keep it fun! And of course, when they are older it will be easy to transition to a teen bathroom.

I really love the first one...the gray walls, metal bath letters, the abc print...so adorable!

I LOVE the first one, you can do so much with that to add some fun pops of color! The striped ones are super cute too but I've painted stripes before and that was the last time I'll ever do that....so tedious and frustrating, ha!!!

My favorite is #1. It would be an easy transition for when they get older. With it being neutral, you could do a lot with it to make it kid friendly.

I love the stripes!.. Then maybe you could get then each a fun.towel, homegoods had coral polkadot, and then one for nixon in a different color!

i would do the third option, because for now u could totally keep it for little ones, but then as they get older u just need to switch out towels and some decor to make it more tween and not little kids. The first two options are too grown up for their age right now. Add color, it's only paint and such a small room to redo!!

I like the navy stripes & beadboard! You could add polka dotted towels too! Each child could pick out their color of polka dotted towel so they could both have a color choice in the decor. :)

Option 1! Love it!

I love stripes! The middle bathroom would be great because it's very versatile. If you get tired of the first colors you used, it would be easy to just buy new towels and accents to mix it up. Also LOVE beadboard!!

I think you would be able to transition with their ages with the first one. Agree with Sarah

Overall I love the rustic chic look (but maybe for a guest bathroom). I do love the navy colors with pops of color. Hit me up if you'd like a sign for that room too...

My favorite for a kids bathroom is "Wash your hands and say your prayers, cause Jesus and germs are everywhere." Good luck...decorating a bathroom is so much fun!

Stripes all the way. I like the fatter stripes if I had to choose. The beadboard is nice, but all I think is one more thing to dust and keep clean, haha!

I love stripes!!! Anything with stripes. You could get each of the kids their own towels - in prints or colors they love. My boys share a bathroom, they are much younger than yours, but I plan to let them pick a towel color (within colors I choose of course) and that way they always know their towels and I know which child didn't put their towel in the appropriate spot. :)

Definitely #1 :)

#3 love the color!! Great for kids!

Option 2: Stripes!!! Love :)

I like #2 especially if you add turquoise and orange! It will be so cute :)

#2, with the beadboard and stripes. But #1 is nice, too. I have that one pinned. I'd steer away from too light colors. Shows too much dirt. Lol

Option 1! But u can't go wrong on any of them.

The first one...it is cute, kidish (yet doesn't scream "I'm the kid's bathroom"), has darker colors to hide things that might happen, and is still fun! I would recommend taking your kids to a place where they can paint on canvas, supply them with the colors you want to accent your bathroom with, have your kids paint whatever they want and sign it (or in Bowen's case, handprint it), then have the paintings all framed. Adds a very personal and sentimental touch to their bathroom.

I really like the stripes! I love the last one, but not having counter space would end up driving me bonkers! The bead board is awesome, too!

Like them all...but LOVE option one!

I love the first one...but it's the least kid-friendly...so I say go color! That turquoise is soooo fun!

I love the first one! That was my inspiration picture for my kids bath at the new house we just built. I could not find that shower curtain anywhere- it was old from West Elm! But I did find the towels last year and they were from Wayfair. Hopefully they are still available, they are awesome in person! I ended up with a colorful chevron shower curtain from Target and an orange rug from Target as well. It is perfect for our kids bath and will work for a long time. Good luck!!
