Can you believe December 1st is FINALLY here? I'm linking up with Andrea to share a little of the Slaughter's December Calendar.
Here are some things we have planned....
*Opening a Christmas book and reading every night. (I started this last year and we only remembered about half the time so I still have 15ish Christmas books wrapped!)
*Our elf, Sparky, is in a new place every morning.
*I bought the Sacred Holiday Christmas Advent devotion. We're reading our devotion every night as a family.
*We attend Christmas parties.
*We make Christmas cookies.
*We buy gifts for our Angel Tree kiddos.
*We decorate our house and their rooms for Christmas.
*We send Christmas cards and we get SO excited when we open cards from friends.
*We visit the Gaylord Texas to see all the beautiful lights each year.
*We go visit Santa.
*We're going to the Polar Express.
*We'll be watching Ebby Lee perform in the Nutcracker!
*We also have a couple fun "themed" nights planned!
*We'll be doing some Random Acts of Kindness.
Here are some pictures from last year's fun...
*We'll go visit Santa. Last year's picture was PRICELESS!!
*We'll send out Christmas cards.
*We'll visit lots of family and friends.
*We'll get dressed up in Christmas clothes and Mama will take lots of pictures!
*Sparky our Elf on the Shelf will make his annual debut at our North Pole Breakfast. Actually I think this year he's arriving for a North Pole Snack in the afternoon. (LOVE Ebby Lee's reaction!!)
*We'll drive around in our Christmas pajamas to see all the lights!
*We'll celebrate with lots of parties!!!
*We'll hang out with lots of friends.
*We'll watch LOTS of Christmas movies!
*In the midst of all the craziness and fun we'll be having, we'll remember the REAL reason we celebrate Christmas.
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."
What's on your calendar?? I LOVE hearing about other traditions family's have!
Happy December 1st!
