What's Up Wednesday

I'm joining MelShay, and Sheaffer for their What's Up Wednesday link-up!

What we're eating this week:

Fall is in the air forecast and our meals are reflecting it!

Monday:  Baked Spaghetti was on the menu.  This made enough for two meals and on night number two I'll be so glad I don't have to cook.
Wednesday:  I'm throwing a pot roast in the slow cooker.  Easy Peasy!
Thursday:  LEFTOVERS....baked spaghetti or soup...it's their choice!  :)
Friday:  We're hanging with friends and I hope dinner is OUT!

What I'm Reminiscing About:

That CRAZY hot day in October when we pretended like it was fall, sweated like piggies, and went to the Arboretum.  Whew!  It was HOT and oh my goodness...Bowen was little!

What I'm Loving:

These ages!!!  We're finally into the swing of school and waking up isn't so hard.  These ages are so much fun...they get jokes and they can even make them now!

What We've Been Up To:

Last week we celebrated Marla's birthday at Benihana's.  I'm not sure who enjoyed it more...the kids or the birthday girl?!  Check out Bowen's smile!  ha!

What I'm Dreading:

I have to tackle the dining room and powder bath ASAP.  They both have wallpaper and my vision is to just update the wallpaper.  I think wallpaper is making a come back, right?  For some reason, I'm not looking forward to this job.

What I'm Working On:

I have the inside of the house looking great and fallish, but I'm still working on the front porch.  It's on my to-do list for the week.

What I'm Excited About:

Look at that cooler weather!!!!

What I'm watching/reading:

I'm loving this season of Real Housewives of Orange County and I just started reading Wild. Has anyone read this??  What'd you think?

What I'm Listening To:

Are anyone else's kids into the new Alvinn and the Chipmunks?  It's one of the few shows all three of my kids love and enjoy.  (Bowen still wants to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the big kids think they're too big for that.)  As I type, I'm listening to Bowen watching that in the living room.

What I'm Wearing:

Top:  Exact here.
Necklace:  Here.
Jeans:  Exact here. (Limited sizing but on sale for under $40.)

What I'm Doing This Weekend:

If you're from Texas, do you recognize this place???  CANTON!!  I'm heading to Canton this weekend to find some goodies.  If you've never heard of this, Canton, Texas, is a town about an hour and a half away from Dallas.  They have an outdoor flea market once a month that is HUGE!!  People come from all over to shop this market.  You can find a variety of goodies...new things all the way to junk.  They have it all!

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month:

Going to the Texas State FAIR!!!  This is one of our favorite family things to do all year long.  We all love it and we're all looking forward to our evening at the fair.

Favorite Halloween Tradition:

Trick-or-treating with friends!!  My kids love hanging with their friends, dressing up, AND getting candy all at the same time!  :)

Happy Wednesday, Ladies!!  XOXO

My kids are watching Alvin, too. I love that it's the same theme song from when I was a kid, and it has some adult humor, so that's enjoyable!

Oh Erika!!! I'm so jealous! Have the best time :)
I saw the movie Wild but haven't read the book. Are you liking it?

Where did you get your pillows on your bench on your porch? Are they outdoor pillows?
I just finished Wild last night for my bookclub tonight. I really liked the book. Watched the movie this past Sunday for the visuals. All three of my kiddos are really into Alvin and the Chipmunks - we love all the movies.

That flea market looks crazy, yet fun! Can't wait to see what you find!
And Alvin is a big favorite in our house these days. Xavier is almost 4 and I think he is moving past the Mickey days :(

I bet Canton is going to be PACKED this weekend because of the nice weather we are supposed to have. I dread Canton weekends during this time of year because traffic in our little town is CrAzY because of it!!

I love Real Housewives of Orange County too! But I'm not loving how Vicki and Shannon aren't friends anymore :( I don't care for Megan. Hopefully they'll replace her next year. Canton sounds neat. Texas just sounds fun all around. I need to take a trip!

Hi Erica,
I love that blue top with the lace sleeves. How does it fit? I have a larger chest,(36DD😳) and smaller waist and some tops just make me look pregnant, lol.

I read Wild this summer and it took me a minute to get into it, but then I couldn't put it down. So good! Happy reading!

I have never been to Canton but I'm heading to Round Top on Friday with some girls and it is just about the same...maybe on an even larger crazier scale! Hope you have a super fun time.

Wallpaper tip: to get wallpaper to come off walls super easy and in big sheets, spray "thieves" essential oil cleaner on the walls! If you don't have any you should try it out, I love love my YL essential oil products! Also I've always wanted to go to Canton! Maybe I should make a trip!
