Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  I'm joining my girls, Narci and Andrea, to share our Friday Favorites!

This Friday is bringing a mix of emotions...half-ready to get back into a routine and structure and half-sad to see this summer end.  Our family had a great summer...some great adventures were had, we visited a ton of family, and we made some amazing memories.  I should also add this is the first summer my kids understood what it meant to "sleep in".  They weren't sleeping until 10:30 or anything, but 8:00 wake up calls were nice this summer!

First up, Paulie's behavior on Big Brother has NOT been my favorite this week.  I'm disappointed in him.  He was becoming a quick favorite and this week he's getting a little cocky.  I'm thinking, "The Executives" might be disassembling pretty quickly.

A FAVORITE is cheering on Team USA!!  The summer Olympics are definitely my FAVORITE to watch.

Another NOT favorite....that moment at UPS when I kept inserting my card.  READ THE SIGN, Erika!  The guy had to finally tell me to swipe.  #imamess  He looked at me with crazy eyes when I think grabbed my phone to take a picture.  hahaha!

This is how we're all feeling about that right now....

Lots of new FAVORITE memories were made earlier this week in San Antonio.

Apparently when you turn thirty-three things just don't work like they used to.  I went for a SHORT jog on the treadmill in new shoes and apparently those shoes were not right for my feet.  I'd worked out in them before and they were great but running is a different game.  My foot is STILL sore and it's been over two weeks.  (I'm sure it didn't help that I walked around barefoot at a water park for almost three days straight either.)  But the point is I'm a mess.

Ebby Lee and I are off today on a little shopping trip and I completely believe this is Tab's viewpoint.  hahaha!

Just like this blog, today's post was a bit of a "hot, random mess".  :)

Hope you girls have a GREAT weekend!  XOXO

I was soooooo hoping Corey would pull a fast one last night and use the veto to put Paulie up. I am disappointed in both of them.

Kimm....I always feel like the biggest dork when I'm swiping away or inserting...whatever is the WRONG thing-that's what I do. :)

Prank Punishers...hahaha! I know and I'm wondering what Paulie did to Natalie that Michelle mentioned in her speech last night. Maybe they'll show that this week. So glad I'm not the only fan out there. :)

We are an episode behinds, so I'm trying to just skim your BB info. However, Paulie is driving me cah-razy! We are rooting for James! BB finale party? Please?

Yes, I'm not loving Paul or Paulie at the moment. Also, I am totally laughing at Michelle "blowing up everyone's game" but staying in the house!! Haha! Awkward!

Totally mourning the end of summer and the Olympics over here, but soaking it up like crazy! I ran with my neighbor once in the wrong pair of shoes, and I couldn't believe the difference when I had on the right pair of shoes! Hoping your feet get better soon!

Hahahaha I'm the same way when it comes to credit cards... these days half of the places require you to use the chip reader and the other half require you to swipe so I'm always like, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOO!"

Haha! Great post. I am a hot mess lately! The other day I spent 5 minutes inspecting my car trying to figure out why the windows would not go up and freaking out thinking they were broken. Finally, it dawned on me that the car was not turned on! It's a mom's life, for sure, these days!

Laughing so hard at your chip reader pic. Somebody needs to take charge over these retailers and machines. We need streamline people! I'm not against chip readers but after oh, 15 years of swiping, old habits die hard!

Yes, girl! I was so disappointed in Paulie as well. Boo! Hopefully he will straighten up.

I am always making an idiot out of myself one way or another when checking out! Hey...if you are going to start running I would definitely suggest going to a sneaker store that will evaluate your feet. You are still super young..but when I was around 40 and started training for a 1/2 marathon I got plantars fasciatis (and it is not spelled right :)) and had no clue what the heck was going on. 6 years later and I still have to stay on top of it when I run and make sure to massage and ice or my feet are toast.

Haha that last picture is Ryan too :) And I had an embarrassing moment with my credit card this week too...my girlfriends and I went to a movie on Tuesday and we were talking and laughing at the counter when I slipped my cc under the window slot to pay, just waiting. After a few seconds of nothing, my girlfriends informed me I had to tell him the movie I wanted to see AND pay for the ticket using the card reader on my side of the window. I had had one martini so I blame that :)

Can you stop by a local running store to get fitted for running shoes? I know they make all the difference in staying injury free when running for me. The chip readers drive me nuts too.

That card thing is totally something I would do!!
I'm so glad someone else is a hot mess! Haha

Oh the new chip cards kill me. Either swipe or insert... just pick one and make everyone do it. This guessing game at every store is not fun! First world problems, right?! ;)

Erika- did you see last nights episode?? Paulie looked at himself in the mirror when he went in to vote....he was my #1 but that cockiness sure has changed him!

Ugh, I am like three episodes behind on Big Brother. but this inspired me to get my act together and catch up tonight! I was really liking Paulie but now you've got me nervous, I never like when they get to confident!

Erika Slaughter said...

Not becoming a runner for sure. I used to run years ago but every now and then when I want to change it up-I'll run. :). That foot thing sounds awful!!

I can't get enough of the Olympics either! I've been so sad today that the girls soccer team already got eliminated in the quarter finals. But so happy for the girls gymnast team!!!

Paulie is no Cody that's for sure. He's gotten too arrogant.
