Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

My parents have been in town all week and we've been enjoying all the family time.  When my mom comes to visit she always helps with the laundry.  I've been enjoying that!

I'm teaming up with my Friday Favorites' hosts, Narci and Andrea, to share some favorites with you today!

First up, is my friend, Meagan.  A couple years ago, Mix and Match Travel planned a Disney World trip for this family.  When I'm working with clients planning trips, we chat quite a bit, e-mail, and often times even text.  Meagan and I became fast friends.  She's the sweetest.  She was in town with her kiddos this week and we met up to let the crazies play.  These two girls played so well together.

Travel friends turned real life friends is a FAVORITE!  Oh, how I wish I could meet all our travel clients in real life!

The boys were as crazy as ever but had a great time!

If you missed it, check out my post from Wednesday.  Shay and I shared a typical weekend in our lives.

A few weeks ago I realized I'd accidentally missed Bowen's four-year-old well visit entirely.  As a mom to four, not a big deal at all but without those four-year-old shots he couldn't head to preschool...that is a HUGE deal!  So, I took this cutie for his well visit this week.  He was as tough as nails during his shots.  Not one tear!

A few funnies Bowen said (these totally sum up his little personality)...

*Our pediatrician had him lie down on the table and was checking his tummy.  She commented on his tan and asked if he got that from his mom or his dad.  His response-"I got this tan from the sun".

*Then she was asking Bowen what we do before we cross the street.  She was waiting for him to say-look both ways, hold your parent's hand, something like that.  She began explaining why it's important to look both ways because the cars won't see you.  Bowen instantly burst out laughing.  "Cars can't see me.  They don't have eyes.".  LOL...that's what I'm working with, ladies!  haha!

Four-year-old Bowen is my FAVORITE!

***************

Some sweet friends from college sent us a FAVORITE baby gift.  This personalized growth ruler...I should add ours is in the guest bedroom at the moment waiting to be hung and Miss Priss is napping in there while I type.  I decided to use Lindsay and Mark's cute IG pic instead of waking the baby.  ;)  You can check out their Instagram @WallaceWoodburning to see all the goodies they have and you can e-mail them at Wallacewoodburning@gmail.com.  Thanks Mark and Lindsay!

***************

She might have been born in China, but Britt was made for Texas.  She's a big fan of rice and beans...just like her mama.

 Mexican food is our FAVORITE!

Unless you've been living under a blogging rock, then you're aware the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to cardholders now.  Let me tell you I might have been a little stoked about Britt waking up in the middle of the night on the morning it went live.  I allegedly might have been shopping at 2:00 a.m.  My FAVORITE middle of the night wake up EVER!  ;)

I ordered some fabulous things and can't wait to share them with you as soon as they arrive.  I like being able to try things on and such before I let you know my thoughts.  But I did spot some things in the sale I have a similar version to and wanted to share...
This is not a great picture of my leggings, but remember last year I gushed about the Spanx leather leggings?  Well there is a version in the sale this year.  I love mine and wear them a lot...especially while I'm traveling.  You should check them out!

And also this Free People sweater is back {in all new colors of course}!  There are a variety of new colors but you can score this sweater at a great price right now.  I wore mine with denim and black jeans all winter long.

I can't wait for my goodies to arrive so I can share my faves with you!  Stay tuned for that next week.

*ADOPTION QUESTIONS*

This happens to be one of my new FAVORITE topics.  If you have any questions you'd like for me to address, PLEASE e-mail me alittlebitofeverything83@yahoo.com and I'll be sure to include it in my post.

Don't forget about our link-up on Tuesday!  We'd love for you to join us!  Next week I'm talking about one of my FAVORITE shows and the way things are going this week...it's gonna be a good chat!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!  See you back here on Monday!  XO

Although I typically have a preppy style, I am really loving Free People as well. That Free People sweater is so cute and I may just have to grab one myself. My sweaters need a little upgrade this fall.

Have a great weekend,

Patty

I completely understand what you mean. Some Free People items are too slouchy but this sweater isn't one of those. :). Happy Friday!

I almost ordered those Spanx leather leggings yesterday but I had to narrow my cart down before checking out and so I nixed them. Are they really hot? I live in north Alabama and the weather here is similar to yours. And I bought that FP sweater yesterday! I'm excited about getting it!

My favorite Bowen story EVER is when I gave Ashby a gift after one of her surgeries, and he kept on giving me sob stories on how he probably needed a little something too! Like "I went down a really tall slide at the waterpark yesterday and was sooooooooo scared." Yeah, buddy....not the same! Hahahahaha! Love that B.
