Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

I'm here with my girlies, Andrea and Narci, to share our Friday Favorites.  If you're new to the blogging world, this is an open ended link-up for everyone.  We'd love for you to join us!  You can grab our graphic, blog some of your favorite things from the week, and then link-up at the bottom of this post.  Hope you join us all year long!

First of all, I'm SO happy to be back with you this week.  It was my first week back after Christmas break and I'm so very glad to be back!

I have to share this little story with you {because I'm realizing so many of you can relate}!  I should have added Wednesday on my post that one of my goals for 2018 is learning how to Insta Story in less than half an hour!  haha!  On our Atlanta trip, I decided I was gonna learn how to share an Insta Story.  But I quickly learned I'm way behind the curve ball with my skills.  Let me add, I can easily post a picture...just a regular picture is easy for me, but that's where my skills end.

I'm sure you've seen those screens on IG where people just type and add that on their Story?  Do you know the ones I'm talking about?  I wanted to make a joke about how BAD I am at those darn Insta Stories.  Then I realized I couldn't even make a joke because I didn't know how to type on a blank screen.  I decided to hop over to another app on my phone and make the above little graphic to add.

You, Insta people know what the problem is, but when I went to post was ALL KINDS OF THE WRONG SIZE.

I also made this graphic, which was also super square when the Insta Story size is definitely more rectangular.  You couldn't read all the words.

I eventually took this silly picture and added words, but I kid you not doing all this took me at least half an hour.  I realized I have SO much to learn and when I started laughing at myself I started getting lots of messages from YOU guys  You are my people!  It seems lots of you are like me...struggling in this department!  So I decided I'd try my best to learn a new Insta skill weekly and I'll share it with my Friday Favorites.  Don't worry, when my skills run out-probably by February-I'll ask for help!  haha!  Hopefully, I'll keep sharing until we're all professionals!  ;)

My hint this week (that I learned AFTER the incident above) is if you want to have a blank background and just type click on a picture, grab a pen, choose your background color, and hold the pen down for just a couple seconds.  The background should change colors completely! Then you can type or write any message you like and it will fit perfectly!  WAHOO!!

If you guys have a specific question, comment or e-mail me and I'll add it to my upcoming posts.

I have a Britt update coming soon, but this past week Britt, Bowen, and I made our way to Miss Willow's birthday party.  She's turning into such a big girl.  She hung at the big table with all the other kiddos and thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake.  #hermamadidtoo

We still have lots of catching up to do, but it's so relieving to see these moments.  Makes my mama heart so happy.

-2018 GOALS-

If you missed the post, this Wednesday was our first link-up of the year....Shay and I shared HOW new goals, resolutions, and planning.  I shared these books that are helping me get myself organized and don't want you to miss them.

I'm a sucker.  I'm an addict.  I just can't say "no", to The Bachelor.  If you're like me, then you have GOT to check out Sheaffer's recaps.  She blogs every Wednesday about that Monday night's episode.  She's hilarious and always keeps me laughing.  Trust me, she'll have you laughing too!  Be sure to check out her recap from this week.  These posts are a huge favorite for me!

Do you have a friend whose hair always looks AMAZING?  Like, she just walked out of the Dry Bar-kind of good?  I have one of those and I reached out to her a couple months ago specifically asking what she does to her hair.  She told me her secret weapon was this root boost.  I ordered it immediately and have been using it on my wet, clean hair and even on my dirty hair {along with dry shampoo} for an extra boost.  I'm a fan so far.  It gives it more texture and I can definitely see the extra volume.

Thank you so much for being a part of this little space of mine.  Hope your 2018 is off to a great start!  Happy Weekend!  XO

I'm impressed at your insta skills, man! Haha. I don't even want to try it - I'm too scared. Maybe you'll convince me. Btw, just ordered that root stuff. Ironically I had a blow out yesterday and my stylist used it. I had Texas hair, y'all ;)

Thank you so much for sharing my Bachelor post! Those babies take a sweet forever, so I always want as many people to see them as possible!!!! And I too am on the instatory struggle bus. It just seems to come naturally for some people, but I am not one of those people. :)

I so heart instastories! They are my favorite, big time, but I still love the filters on Snapchat better. {The struggles of a 21st century social media fan} 🙄😂

My hair dresser just gave me a container of a root boosting formula this Christmas and I love it! I can not ge tover how much fuller it makes my hair look and not all flat to my head.
