What I've Been Priming

I've said it before and I'll say it again....I'm nosey.  Aren't we all just a bit?  It's the whole premise behind enjoying those, "Day in the Life" posts.  Right?

I was placing a little Amazon Prime order and it hit me...I should share WHAT I'VE BEEN PRIMING lately!

I'm sharing for several reasons...

1. Sometimes Amazon Priming things don't cross my mind until I've already gotten out of the house with the kiddos, run the errand, and arrived back.  Sigh.  I'm hoping this helps someone!

2. This post is in no way sponsored by Amazon Prime, but I've already told you I'm nosey.  I'm hoping a few of you reading are as well and you enjoy this post.

3.  It might give you a few ideas for something you should Prime to yourself ASAP.

4. I left out any books and Christmas gifts that were ordered via Prime but other than that...this is for real what has arrived in our house!

*Don't pay attention to my crazy faces.  You've been warned.  :)

In no particular order...

This little gadget has over 11,000 reviews with a four star rating, which seems pretty good to me PLUS it's under $22.  The winter months wreak havoc on my dry heels so I was intrigued and ordered!  This just arrived last night and I haven't even had time to try it out!

Have you HEARD of this game?  {See what I did there?}  We had a fun family game night last week and this was the show stopper.  One person puts the headphones on {they're playing all kinds of sounds so you can't hear a thing} then another person reads a sentence to you.  You have to lip read to understand what they're saying.  Some of the things my people said were hilarious!  If you have a game night coming up or just want to make a Tuesday night a little special, order this!

This little product was popping up everywhere.  I saw it on blogs, heard it on podcasts, read about it online...I'm telling you it was haunting me.  So I ordered it a couple weeks ago and have been using it as a toner after I use my cleanser both morning and night.  It's supposed to make my skin "BLOOM".  Again, this product has 4.5 stars with over 10,000 ratings so it has to work.  Right?  And the price is GREAT!

Keeping it real, friends!  Somehow we have all the beads but can never find the ironing paper.  I did a quick little prime order and it was at our house in no time!

Pampers Diapers
{Figured you knew what these look like}
Let me tell you when the delivery guy put this big box on my front porch I had a big ole smile on my face.  :)  Mama didn't have to lug them from cart to car and car to house.  Prime did it for me.  :)

I've tried a ton of different dry shampoos and I always go back to this brand.  This dry shampoo actually sprays out some white powder which lightens up my hair/roots and gives it some extra volume {that tends to be lost when I need to wash my hair}.  The "blush" version smells delightful as well.

A few weeks ago I asked for your favorite eye cream recommendations and someone recommended this cream.  It's a great price point so I gave it a try.  But-is there a specific "eye" version or do you guys use this all over your face as a moisturizer?  I used it a couple times and then decided I need to do a little more research.  Please help me out with that!  If you have this product, what are your thoughts?!

Have you heard of dermaplaning?  It's an exfoliation process that essentially shaves the skin's surface.  This gets rid of dead skin and little hairs and is proven to be highly effective for your skin.  Lots of bloggers do this themselves and after years of reading about it, I finally took the plunge.  I buy these little facial razors and do it every two to three weeks.  You can find a ton of YouTube videos on how to do this, but it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean.  I must say-I've never gotten any kind of razor burn, acne, or anything like that but I don't want to say it couldn't happen.

If you have access to the internet, then I'm sure you've heard of this product.  Hahaha!  I feel like it's everywhere!  I even heard about it at the park one day when several moms were discussing the dreaded cellulite and this was the product being mentioned over and over again.  To be honest, I ordered it several months ago, added it to my coffee every day for a week or two and then forgot.  I haven't used it since, but I'm gonna begin again tomorrow.  If you've used this and recommend it, please let us know how it's helped!  At this point, I'm not convinced I'll reorder.

I've shared this root boost with you before, but I wanted to round the list out at a solid ten.  :)  I spray this on damp hair right before drying and then blow dry.  I've also been known to add to dry hair.  It does add some texture, but I don't notice the volume as much as when I add to wet hair.

What about YOU?  What have you been PRIMING lately?  Or do you have any of these products and have some opinions about them?  I'd love to hear!  Thanks, friends!

XO

I had huge hopes for the Amope foot file... it’s not bad, but my poor winter heels needed something a little stronger. I bought one of the cheese grater looking foot scrubbers from my local beauty supply store. I use whatever hair conditioner I have in the shower on my heels to soften them, then give them a scrub with the grater.

You have GOT to try the Baby Foot foot peel--you won't even need a foot exfoliator after using it!! It is the best thing for "winter feet"--or any time really! Also, any good podcasts you recommend??

I've been hearing all about the collagen peptides too. I did a little research and found out it's impossible for your skin to absorb collagen when you consume it orally. So it's not going to remove cellulite or wrinkles. Your body will break it down long before it reaches skin. It is POSSIBLE that it can help your body's overall production of collagen but for the record I think this one is a waste of money.

Sheaffer {Pinterest Told Me To} said...

You are right that the collagen peptides and those dermaplaning razors are EVERYWHERE! However, I am intrigued, and I think I might take the plunge today!

Have you tried Amazon Fresh? It is amazing! I have not been to the grocery store in months. It is about $15 per month to get unlimited grocery delivery. You choose what time you want the food delivered (they even offer same day delivery), and if you want them to just drop it off at the front door, or if you want to be home. I usually have mine delivererd in the morning so it is there by 7:00 am. It comes in large paper bags, and if there are refrigerated or frozen items the bags are insulated with dry ice packs. I believe they own Whole Foods now, so you can purchase items from there too. I have been super happy with the produce as well. It is life changing! I should mention that it is different than Amazon Pantry which is over priced in my opinion.

Hi!

I mix 1 scoop of vital proteins into my coffee each morning. It mixes well into hot liquid and you can hardly taste it. There is definitely a noticeably difference in the strength of my nails. I love it!

Good product recommendations! Just FYI, you can use regular wax paper with perler beads!

I am been using the Collagen Peptides for about 3 months now. I do two scoops in my morning coffee and I can tell a difference in my nails and hair. It took about 2 months of every day uses before I noticed a difference. I love it!!

I'm going to be a first time Grandma in less than 10 days so I've been buying books!! You Are Special by Max Lucado was a favorite of my own kiddoes so I ordered that one. On a totally different note, I also have a daughter with braces and I also added the Platypus Ortho flossers to my order!!

I just bought my kids an automatic toothpaste dispenser because I was so sick of the toothpaste grossness. So far so good!

Also, if you aren't use Smile Amazon, you should make sure to do that. It donates a portion of your purchases to the charity of your choice. If you are priming anyways - why not have some money go to a good cause!

Obsessed with that Dry shampoo. The scent is light, and the extra root boost isn’t lost on my fine hair. Love!

I love the Batista dry shampoo too, and yes, diapers from Amazon or walmart pick up are ideal! My absolute fav Amazon Prime purchase are protein shakes! I love these Orgain chocolate shakes! Perfect for busy mamas. I like to pour mine on ice and drink when I don't have time for breakfast, or to supplement if I have a smaller lunch. https://www.amazon.com/Orgain-Grass-Protein-Creamy-Chocolate/dp/B01CI57V2O/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1519226076&sr=8-4&keywords=orgain&th=1

Watch the price on the protein shakes. The normal price is around $20 for a dozen, but I've caught them on sale for $12, which is great, and I've gone without when they've gone up to $ 40 ;)

They just talked about snail mucus extract on the Today Show yesterday! Apparently its very popular in facial creams in South Korea and helps Korean women get smooth, dewy skin. I think you use it all over your face.

I originally started with the Collagen Peptides to help my extremely damaged hair from my last pregnancy. It is growing back healthy and strong, my stylist even asked what I was doing and this has been my only change! It;s also high in protein and good for joint health-and I'm not getting any younger ;-) I put it in my morning coffee and it dissolves well. I have tried it in cold liquids and it doesn't dissolve as well and gets a little clumpy if it sits too long. I added the razors to my cart, can't wait to try them!

Olivia at Joyfully Prudent said...

I need to know your thoughts on the razors (like does hair grow back with a vengence) and that foot scrubber when you try it. I love the dry shampoo. I've heard about that collagen stuff but haven't bought it. I am looking into the subscribe and save service through Amazon to save money on certain products. Diapers was one of them. I'm researching organic formulas now.

I drink liquid collagen from Modere everyday and have heard great things about it for your skin. Trying to do everything I can for my wrinkles before I go to Botox. I also bought the facial razors after Juli from PaleOMG review them. I love them. I was having to take care of my moustache (love having dark hair) every week sometimes twice a week and now I just use those and it's so much cheaper and it's better for your skin too!

I love real life recommendations - I am going to dig our your post on the eye creams (I definitely need to start wearing one ;). You must share how you get on with the snail gel! I'm trying Hyaluronic Acid and MSM supplements at the mo for the skin - but was considering collagen for the fledgling wrinkles - would you recommend it or is it more for the leg tone thing? This was a really fun post! I love finding out what others are ordering from Amazon. I have used the Thayers witch hazel for several years and I love it. It helps take some redness from my face. Another favorite of mine is this this foot file. I've tried so many and this one does the job! It's fast, cheap and lasts forever. I use it dry feet, not in the shower, and it works great. https://www.amazon.com/Flowery-Swedish-Clover-Foot-File/dp/B0008FUY0I/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1519265889&sr=8-4&keywords=swedish+foot+file&dpID=41rXGnV61VL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I think a lot of people forget that you can use prime and/or the subscribe and save feature for many things like toilet paper, dish soap, deodorant, granola bars, hair dye, sunscreen etc. The products that we use on a regular basis, I put and just have it delivered every month. Having that big thing of toilet paper delivered is awesome and the big box gives my kids a few days of entertainment. My favorite thing though is Puracy all purpose cleaner and Nutpods. I can not have dairy but every so often I want creamer in my coffee, nut pods are great for that and they are much lower in calories and healthier then conventional creamer.

I bought the Amope foot thing too but I don’t like it as much as I like my Microplaner for my foot. Look up “Microplane Colossal Pedicure Rasp (foot file)”. It’s under $10 and it’s amazing.

I love me some amazon prime! Great post. I ordered the Moroccan Oil Root Boost when you shared a little while ago. I think it works well for my fine hair... The only thing I wonder, is it supposed to spray a strong stream or is it kinda dribbly? Not sure if my bottle is damaged or not! Hmm...

I love this post! I just ordered a palm size zester from Chefn for myself, mom and sisters this morning. Your post made me get the Hearing Game, the rose petal witch hazel, dry shampoo, and collagen peptides! I've been eyeing all of those things, and this was the final push!

This is my favorite post ! Can you keep doing amazon prime posts... please ? I think it'd be helpful to know what items and brands people like to subscribe and purchase monthly ? ( paper towels , toilet paper , paper plates etc).
