Friday Favorites

Hey, Hey Friday!

Oh my goodness!  I'm so happy to see you.  We are knee deep in all the end-of-the-year crazy over here.  On the agenda today, FIELD DAY!

Before that I'm sharing a few FAVORITES from the week with my girls, Narci and Andrea.

My FAVORITE preschooler had his last day of preschool this week.  Who knew he was growing at lightning speed right before my eyes?  He lost all signs of baby over the last year and is more than ready to conquer kindergarten.  But in the mean time, I'm going to snuggle this boy as much as he'll possibly let me until that day comes.

And little sister wanted in for a picture.  :)  I got asked about their shoes...Bowen's shoes and Britt's shoes.

In yesterday's post, I shared my FAVORITE products used to tackle those pesky pores.  If you missed it, you can read it and be sure to check out those comments.

Some of my FAVORITE things are on sale right now, so I wanted to share...
This top in "poppy" is 33% off right now.  Due to the color, this one will be able to make it spring to fall here in Texas.  :)

This peplum top in red is sold out, but the burnt orangeish tan (known as "tan adobe cross dye" online) would be perfect in the early fall and is on super sale right now!

My button up is 40% off.  I sized up and then tied it in the front for a different look.

This top from the fall was a reader favorite and it's now on sale 40% off.

Another top 40% off!  This one is on the verge of being too short.  I'd recommend this one for short-waisted girls!  It comes in three other colors as well.

I recapped our weekend and made sure to include info about these Color Street Nails.

Here's the info, if you missed it on Wednesday...
My cousin, Lindsey, just signed on with a new company, Color Street.  Have you guys heard of them?  They're a company that sells 100% nail polish strips that are super easy to apply.  I must report...they were SUPER EASY to apply {like, I did this in five minutes or less-easy to apply}. They're way cheaper than going to the nail salon and having your nails professionally done.  My favorites are the glitter nails...they're super user-friendly and hide all my little imperfections.  You can use them on your nails and toes. They'd make a great little gift for a friend, graduation gift, or the perfect way for you to treat yourself to cute nails.  You can check them all out on Lindsey's website or feel free to e-mail Lindsey at lindseysheajenkins@gmail.com.

Someone asked how long they last and I think it's a typical manicure time.  I'm sure it varies because it depends on how quickly your nails grow but average time is two weeks.

On these Friday FAVORITE posts, I really try to reflect back each week on what were my TRUE FAVORITES.  I know I've shared this before, but I'd be embarrassed if I told you how many times I had scrambled eggs topped with truffle salt this week.  #notevenkidding  I'm going strong on a truffle salt kick and there's no end in sight.  It was a FAVORITE this week.  We had them for dinner, breakfast, and even a snack or two.  This one is my favorite.  I have to add this because if he was here with us, he'd want to throw it in himself.  For Christmas this year, Saltopia had all kinds of sets available for purchase as gifts.  I bought the set with both truffle salts along with another salt or two for Tab for Christmas.  Because haven't we all purchased our spouse something we'd like to have personally??  Tab opened it and instantly looked at me with a "oh, thank you for buying me something you're addicted to" face.  hahaha!  At this rate, he's going to be wanting two or three sets for Christmas this year.  ;)

That wraps it up for today!  I hope you have the BEST weekend.  We're looking forward to a long break before we tackle the last couple weeks of school.  And HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!  I'm taking Monday off and will see you Tuesday!

PORE Talk

I feel like everyone has one or two trouble areas or issues when it comes to skin.  For some of you, it might be dark spots or acne.  For me, it is PORES!  Anyone else?  Just in case you or someone you know deals with large pores too, I decided to highlight what I use to tackle those pesky things.  :)

And like always, if you have some magic unicorn product that helps with pores, PLEASE share with us all!  We thank you in advance.

I can definitely tell a difference in the pore department when I use these products.  I haven't found the magical unicorn cream that will make my pores micro-like, but until I do-this is what I've been using.

The Line-Up...

#1 Revision Brightening Facial Wash-I've been using this face wash off and on for a while now.  It leaves my skin feeling so fresh and the price tag is fabulous.  #bonus

#2 Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Treat and Transform Moisturizer-I found this moisturizer through my girlfriend, Kristin.  She raved about it and like always...when someone's giving a product all the praises, I feel like I must try it out.  {WHY do I do that?!}  And I have to say, I'm a fan.  I have super dry skin and I've learned that when it comes to skincare hydration is KEY!  This moisturizer is soft, light and goes on so smoothly.  It leave my face feeling fabulous!

#3 The POREfessional Face Primer-This product came in my Sephora box this past month and I'm LOVING it.  {It also comes in a teeny, tiny trial size.}  I put this on after my moisturizer and right before my foundation.  This primer glides on leaving my face feeling like butter.  My foundation goes on so smoothly and I do think it blurs my pores.  #howisthatpossible

#4 Rodan and Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste-This product isn't one I use weekly or even every other week-if I'm being honest, but when I do use it, I'm so glad I did.  It's an exfoliating scrub that isn't exactly like getting a real-life microderm, but it's the closest thing outside of your aesthetician's office.

#5 Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner-Okay, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if you're in the market for only one product to help with pores, I'd go with this one.  This is a mask that goes on clear, you leave it on for about 10-15 minutes {it'll turn a light blue shade as it dries}, and then you rinse it off.  When I rinse this off, the mask has seriously vacuumed out all those pores and my face is squeaky clean.

For my PORE dilemma, these are the products I turn to...what about you??

Do you guys have a product that helps minimize pores?  If so, PLEASE share!  We'd all love to give it a try!

My skincare issue #2 would be fine lines, so I've got it on my calendar to discuss those products as well.  Hope you guys have a great Thursday!

Recap of the Weekend

Hey, Hey Everyone!

I've got a roundup of pictures from our weekend for you.  Hope you enjoy!

Friday-After I picked the big kiddos up from school, we headed straight to the neighbor's pool.  We have SUMMER FEVER around our house.  #anditsbad  These two had so much fun swimming with lots of friends.

We rushed home, ate all the leftovers, and made our way to Bowen's tee-ball game.  My parents drove in from Missouri for the weekend and met us there to watch.

We arrived a few minutes before the rest of the team.  {And Coach Tab was out of town.}  So big brother, Nixon, stepped in and played pitch and catch with Bowen.  :)

We ended the night with blizzards from Dairy Queen, a game of volleyball, and a quick round of Whiffle Ball before bed.

Saturday-Ebby Lee had a volleyball tournament bright and early Saturday morning.  Afterwards, my parents and the girls and I made our way to McKinney Trade Days.  I hadn't been in years so we walked around checking it out.  Sad to report, I only left with FOOD!  ha!

Britt was enjoying ALL THE SAMPLES and her lemonade!

On our way to the house, we spotted three Slaughter boys playing baseball at the park so we stopped to join them.

When we got home, we went straight to the pool!

I enjoyed my view.  :)

I'm telling you...my afternoon was delightful.  Sun, kiddos playing in the pool, fruit, and this book {a memoir about Lincee Ray's, author of I Hate Green Beans Blog, life-I was a fan!}...the perfect afternoon!

I ordered two new fruity floats from Amazon....the watermelon and the pineapple.

I'm telling you...the perfect afternoon.  :)

My parents had planned on taking the kiddos bowling so Tab and I planned a date night with friends.

All cleaned up in a new dress with my handsome hubby.

I checked while we were driving and this clutch is available again this year.

We met the Richardsons for a night out and had a great time!

Sunday-My parents headed back to Missouri and I had one mission....a pedicure.  It was on the agenda for Mother's Day and thanks to strep...it didn't happen.

And when this cutie woke up from her nap, I took a picture of her crazy hairdo.

We grabbed bbq for dinner and went to bed dreaming of summer nights.  It was the perfect weekend.
